Cihuateteo

This. Wearing a snake belt, familiar and overwhelmingly complicated, lust and reason. This reality and snarling, howling demons behind our eyes, why is it so important to you, we barely remember happiness and what happened before those precious moments of confusion, a thousand whispers in my ear, choices and fingers inside, bitten neck and two bodies reminding one another that we aren't alone, eternally, pain being an illusion, sparkling, blinding lights and fun-house pills on our tongues, tiger moth on the window, end of summer scars, this ocean-escape inside, these bodies, bodies reminding us that it's not real, spirals and twirling, spinning and weaving, a ballerina, velvet ribbons, mortality, vampire teeth sink into my head, cold as a grave, no longer breathing but alive.
