Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,unto the Aeons of Aeons.
Amen.
In Appalachia, the home of all syrupy words and cedar cabins there are old memories and a tiny, almost invisible scar on my left cheek, my only blemish that I love madly. There are countless ruined churches here that are playfully scattered among the pristine air and secret realms of light. The people here are stalwart and hard shell Baptist and perhaps a small, but invading squadron has arrived, the attractive and foreign Spanish Catholic girls, Amen.
Anna Ruby Falls, the twin waterfalls. I love the Claude Monet painting- The Sheltered Path- it's one of my favorite artworks, the trail and hike at the Falls remind me of Monet's beautiful, painted walk, the endless well-traveled wooden steps and majestic oak trees, I go when it rains so that hardly anyone will be there. A magpie and warbler, blest the copperheads and fat slugs on a soggy branch, Amen.
Cities and digital platforms make me sick, the polluted air and abominations masquerading as people and robots, the blaring horns of NYC, the smutty fog and lip-smacking, fast talking synthetic prostitutes, blue bruises under their eyes, liars and those who rape and murder, the sticky pavement and chewing gum metropolis of filth and grime. It's a prison of pigeons and the artificial, the wild beauty of veiled breath, they kiss you below like a Djinn who eats the soul of a human or animal body. It enters with her mouth, eyes like a starless dusk, breathing in unison forever and ever, madness and broken vows, unclean apostate, a curse lives in your soul and it will never leave, it's colonized there within an illuminated angel frozen in permanent darkness, melancholy; and a head full of vicious Seraphim bees. Amen.
The strange, warm eyes of God go throughout the entire world and endless depth, the gulf of devouring worlds, the white pines and the drowsy drench of sun-showers, may my God make me Holy, whole and unblemished light again. Amen.
